How to Remove the Recent Site Activity GadgetPrior to the July 7, 2009 release of Google Sites, all newly created
Sites contained the "Recent Site Activity" gadget in the sidebar. For
some, this is not ideal, and the first thing they need to do is remove
it.
- Log into your site
- Click on Edit Sidebar (Or, More Actions >> Manage Site >> Site Layout)
- Locate the Recent Site Activity gadget in the sidebar section of the schematic
- Click the Delete link
- Click Save Changes
How to Add the Recent Site Activity GadgetBeginning with the July 7, 2009 release of Google Sites, the Recent
Site Activity gadget is not automatically added to the sidebar for
newly created Sites. If you would like to display this information on your site, follow the steps below: - Log into your site
- Click on Edit Sidebar (Or, More Actions >> Manage Site >> Site Layout)
- At the bottom of the Sidebar section of the schematic, click the Add a Sidebar Item link
- Scroll down in the list of page elements and click the Add button under Recent Site Activity
To place the gadget in its desired location amongst your other sidebar items, simply drag-and-drop the gadget while viewing the site layout schematic. Click Save Changes
