A common question in the Google Sites user forum is how to reuse a previously deleted Google Sites URL. This is the portion of the URL that refers to a specific site. For example: http://sites.google.com/site/SAMPLE In the above example, SAMPLE represents the name, or URL, of a specific Google Sites website. As of July 7, 2009, Google Sites now allows for previously deleted site names to be reused. This change impacts sites under the sites.google.com/site domain, and permanently associates the site name with the user account under which it was originally created. |
